We are delighted to share that the WIA Mentoring program is underway! We had the absolute joy to host two mentor catch-ups, and the feedback is brilliant! Here is a helpful nugget that came out of our conversations:

DON'T ASK - "Was this session helpful?"
instead
DO ASK - "What was helpful about our session?"

Asking the first question makes it easy to get a quick and not-so-genuine response of "Yes, sure, it was great.". When you ask about the specifics, you make the other person genuinely think about their response, and with the repetition of the valuable bits, their knowledge solidifies.
